Katrina Marie Mayberry Horner

At the request of the female members of our family, our interviewee this week is Katie Horner nee Mayberry. Katie tells us about being all grown up and responsible-like, how little a difference that can make at your church, and what she's doing to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

  • Katie, terrific interview! Couldn't agree more with you about the family reunion vacations. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!
    P. S. I have a new recipe for that corned beef and cabbage for St. Pat's...see you then!

  • Hey Josh, I just wanted to let you know that the reason the Irish like Corned beef so much is because of all the drinking they do...unless of course they are eating Kristin's corned beef...(sorry, shameless plug for the in-laws, lol)

Good job on the interview, sweetie. And no, as far as I know, neither one of us is Irish...

German Pride! (so to speak, unless you're from Alsace Lorraine. Ben, I'm lookin' in your direction))

  • I love these! Mom (Kit) told me how to get them, but even without downloading them you just have to click on the name...Anyone could do it! It's great! Someone may want to email this info to Wes (I will try, but don't think I have a current email)... anyway, It is great to hear from everyone(especially those we don't regularly talk to!).
And yes, it does seem that Josh may be avoiding some of his own IMMEDIATE relatives! :)
I look forward to next week!!!

  • Hey, great to hear Phil is working with my intellectual and geographic progeny from Turtle Rock Elementary, Rancho Junior High, and University High School. Also, I must point out that we most certainly DO have Irish blood, from Great Grandpa Perkins' side...where do you think Rachael and Seth get their reddish hair? I second (or third, or fourth) the sentiment re. family reunions...we'll see you all in Tahoe in July!

  • Rob: Mom says that G-pa Perkins said he was ENGLISH not Irish.....notwithstanding the red hair. Check with her. Unless the story has changed, that is what I was told. Katie----you sound different in person than on my itunes anyway. Thanks for raising the gender consciousness of the males in the family who have inadvertently continued in their chauvinism....hee hee.
Joe--I thought your comment was funny.

  • Josh---carry on! Thanks for being responsive to our requests and again GREAT JOB. Every time I listen to you interviewing these people so professionally I keep thinking about you hanging in the "Johnny Jump-Up" verbally abusing us all....just look what developed out of that! hahahahaha
