Good interview, Rob. It's good to hear what it is you're doing these days. Congratulations to Jack, on successfully completing the Rite of Lawnmower.
Just to add some insight into the "Why Am I Here?" question: I clearly remember Mom telling us that her mother advised her to have more children, to keep her from being lonely, when her first four children grew up. Guess we were "grown up" at ages 14 - 8 . Grandma Perkins was not enjoying the "Empty Nest Syndrome" apparently.
So, you can feel a small debt of gratitude to Grandma P. for your very existence!
As to the cost of orthodonture, I cannot reply. Whatever it was, it was not in our "budget" - but we deemed it a priority. But Jack has a beautiful smile - what are you wanting to correct?

Yes, Jack has a great smile...I see nothing that wouldn't indicate a bright dental future, except he does have an overbite (who doesn't?), and orthodontists these days are very aggressive.

Rob...so the travel bug is wearing off, huh? Just as it does on all of us old people....sigh....somehow travelling with 4 children is indeed "not as fun as we expected" some of the time.
Congratulations to ROB on Jack's completing the passage of the Rite of Lawnmower, since my own husband can't seem to successfully turn that over to his 21 year old son!!!!! And BTW to Jack---Garland pays $20 or more for mowing our lawn...so maybe you could lobby for a raise.
Yes, Rob you are exonerated in the squishing poop from fish escapade, if not the Ripping off children with Rubles one.
I must say I do not remember your cutting down a tree in my yard....are you sure that was my house? I don't even remember your being at my house long enough to do so...but then my memory is fading.

Yeah, Karen, the tree was in your front yard in the house with the pool (though there was no pool at that time)...I cut it down with a chainsaw that Bill's partner loaned me....and I carved my initials into the stump (which was at grass level). For this chore, you paid me handsomely, and I felt quite manly, as it was the first tree I had ever cut down.

Rob, we reap the benefits of your love of the memories and love of the family by the fact that you motivate us to reunionate! Thanks!!
P. S. Orthodontics is EXPENSIVE! And every orthodontist you talk to has a different opinion on what should be done. Good Luck
