Brynne Amanda Cowing Young

Our guest this week is none other than Brynne Young, who is kind enough to talk to us from her home on her day off. Join us as we discuss why everyone she deals with at work is angry at her, the advantages to having a sister, and teenage dogs.

  • Good interview Brynne. If you deal with a stubborn teenaged dog, does that exempt you from dealing with stubborn teenaged children, or just that you are better prepared to do so?
And we can all sympathize with not wanting to spend your vacation with a lot of stubborn teenaged youth group kids too---well maybe I should say that most of us can sympathize...except maybe Phil.
Did you enjoy Music Man? We thought it was really fun. I didn't know you saw Fiddler too. Sorry that we were so stingy with our tickets this year. I will keep you in mind for next year, if we don't want them all. If you find a few other people who like MC, you could buy a set of season tickets with the other couples and divide the tickets. That is what we did when we first started buying season tickets. Then you will have better seats for the couple shows you see. The longer you hold the subscription the better the seats you can get.
For everyone else out there....its called Music Circus because it is professional (like Broadway casts sometimes)musical theater which was originally presented each summer under a Circus tent. Maybe Brynne said this....my memory is lacking too.
You know as I listened to the sister/best friend part, it occurred to me that only 2 of the 6 families of your generation have sister pairs..only the Cowings and the Rob Kerchners. Sad.
Miss your podcast next week Josh...have a good youth retreat...and we all hope you didn't have to use your vacation days for that.

  • Thanks! Yeah we are hoping to be exempt from stubborn teens- both Scott and I were not terrible children/teenagers, so we are hoping that what goes around does come around! :)... anyway, we have talked about season tickets with my mom... I don't know if we will do it though- but Scott and I are thinking of doing the Davis Theater one...
    Thanks

  • Great interview, Brynne (and Josh!). With all the activities in Tahoe, I didn't get a chance to sit down with you and chat like Celeste did, so it was great to catch up this way. Yeah, my girls sometimes consider the "line down the middle" bit...but then again, so did Celeste and I when we first had to shre a bed!
