William Dunbar Cowing

Joining us on a very special Kerchner Family Podcast episode this week, is Mr. William Dunbar Cowing. Listen in as we sit under a tangerine tree, wax philosophical about the passage of time, and discuss how cotton balls can be used as a substitute for toilet paper. (Sorry about that last one...)

  • Just want to say that its great that your kids are setting the bar so high in planning a lovely paid vacation to an expensive resort in Hawaii for their parents on their 35th wedding anniversary! It might even be worth it for me to remember how many years I've been married for something like that! Isn't it interesting that we women forget those things. My husband says I am probably trying to forget. I will remain anonymous..........

  • Uhhhhhhhh....I have a feeling Garland would like to give HIS version of that family memory, Bill.

  • Thank you for that wonderful trip down Memory Lane.

I must corroborate the cottonball story, because, in all honesty, it was me.

I enjoyed every day spent in your lovely duplex on 34th street.

I have moved on, but will always have a soft place in my heart for that blood stain on the furnace.

  • Anyone have some Advil?

My headache seems to have increased.

Hawaii would be a definite "YES!" Thanks, Kids!

  • Bill, darling, you can take off your disguise now. No more hiding in the closet is necessary. It wasn't THAT bad. Just sounded like you, sweetheart.

After 35 years, what else would I expect?

  • All I have to say is that if Nate is just out of college, and Elly has a kid and no husband... does that leave you and me Josh to fund the 35th anniversary trip? Maybe a trip to Vandenburg AFB for a couple of nights at the Base Hotel at $35/night? It's the beach-and they speak English! :)

Well, I must say... it kept my attention, and yes, I always wonder how Garland tells those stories! :)
