Noah Seth Burrell

Back from its one week hiatus, The Kerchner Family Podcast welcomes Noah this week. Apologies for the poor quality...I was at home in an air-conditioned room with a 2 year old at the time. But do join us as we discuss birdwatching (both in cartoons and in reality), a certain girlfriend, and time capsules. Also, keep an ear open for a special guest appearance by Sadie, and her Little Mermaid cell phone going off in the background.

  • Hey Noah: Too bad that your "coolness" cover is now blown. Adam thinks he has not yet peaked in coolness, but I told him that I think he's slipping too.
Good interview....of course I am your Mom...
Are you now breathing a sigh of relief?

  • Like Noah, I was TOTALLY missing the podcast, Josh...so glad to have it back on the line.

Yeah, you guys, we went to Mt Hermon this summer. Dunno if we'll go back...but if we do, it won't be back-to-back with the Kerchner Family Reunion, cuz as we all know, NOTHING can compete with that.

Noah -- You're still the coolest Bird Nerd I know! It was great seeing you in Tahoe, by the way, and I hereby recant all those suggestions I made that your scope was pointed at your swimsuited friends on the beach, rather than your feathered friends in the air. I am sorely and truly ashamed.

  • Birdnerd, I have only one piece of advice for you, which I have been sharing with my son, who is fighting his true identity as the next Bill Nye The Science Guy: embrace your nerdiness! There's no real point in fighting it, it will win out in the end. Give in to it, make it yours, claim it, embrace it. Then you can use all that wasted energy (which has previously been spent fighting your true calling) on something positive and useful. Be the Best Bird Nerd your school has ever known. Be a Wise Bird Nerd. A Contented and Fulfilled Bird Nerd.

( When that stops working for you, ask about genuinely satisfying purpose. Here's a hint: the Creator of those wondrous birds, and of Bird Nerds.)
